Multi-harzard Risk Assessment and Risk Reduction Planning

In partnership with UN-SPIDER, APCICT/ESCAP will organize a training on Multi-Hazard Risk Assessment and Risk Reduction Planning in conjunction with the 11th Annual UN-SPIDER Conference, to be held in Beijing on 15–16 September 2026.

Through a combination of short lectures, demonstrations and guided exercises, participants will learn how to use the risk assessment tool to organize input data, assess exposure and vulnerability, generate loss and risk information, and compare risk reduction alternatives. The training will emphasize the practical application of risk assessment outputs to inform disaster risk reduction planning, support evidence-based decision-making and strengthen resilience.
