Over 100 participants from more than 20 countries came together in Selangor, Malaysia for the three-day event held from 3 to 5 June as part of a series of UN-APCICT activities promoting students’ engagement in community development.

Whether it is an IT student volunteering in a rural Timor-Leste community learning center, or a health student on work experience at a Cambodian women's center, engaged learning methods can better prepare young people to be the future leaders of the Asia–Pacific region.

On 1-4 December, the United Nations Asian and Pacific Training Centre for Information and Communication Technology for Development (UN-APCICT) will hold the Regional Dialogue on ICTD Capacity Building for Inclusive, Resilient and Sustainable Development and Annual Partners Meeting in Incheon, Republic of Korea.

On 15-18 April, 2014, UN-APCICT organized its Regional Training of Trainers Workshop on Primer Series 2 on “Project Management and Information and Communication Technology for Development (ICTD)” and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) of the Primer Programme in Incheon, Republic of Korea.

On Nov. 27th, representatives from 32 member States across Asia-Pacific gathered in Bali, Indonesia for a three-day meeting aimed at enhancing training in information and communication technologies for Development (ICTD) capacity-building for governments in the region.

UN-APCICT/ESCAP organized the Regional Forum on ICT Human Capacity Development on 9-10 June 2016 in Incheon.

To be held on the occasion of APCICT’s 10th Anniversary, the meeting provided the multi-stakeholder platform to engage participants from over 50 countries in a dialogue on ICT capacity development towards a sustainable future. It will facilitate an exchange of ideas and perspectives on effective ICTD capacity building, identify lessons learned, and chart the way forward.
