Virtual Review of the Draft Module on ICT Project Management Theory and Application for Digital Transformation Project

The Asian and Pacific Training Centre for ICT for Development (APCICT/ESCAP) conducted a Virtual Review of the Draft Module on ICT Project Management Theory and Application for Digital Transformation project on 3 November 2021. The virtual meeting was convened with the objective of soliciting comments and feedback to ensure the module’s quality, accessibility, and relevance to the target audience of project leaders and civil servants.

Deconstructing Community Participation in Telecentre Projects

This paper critiques the assumed link that telecentre literature makes between community participation and telecentre success. It provides a review of the perspectives of the impact of telecentres, discusses the notion of community, factors of information system evaluation, stakeholder analysis and its relationship with participation, and finally the author provides a critique of telecentres in relation to participation.

APCICT develops new resources to enhance ICT for Development Capacity of Youth in Asia and the Pacific

In October, the Asian and Pacific Training Centre for Information and Communication Technology for Development (UN-APCICT/ESCAP) released three new issues of the Primer Series on ICTD for Youth (Primer Series) on the topics of Project Management and ICT; ICT for Disaster Risk Management; and ICT, Climate Change and Green Growth.
