To strengthen the capacity of government officials in managing multi-hazard risks, APCICT, in partnership with UNOOSA-UNSPIDER and in collaboration with Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Geoinformatics Center at AIT, and ITC-University of Twente, will conduct a training from 15 to 16 May 2025. The training aims to equip participants with knowledge on evolving multi-hazard risk assessment methods, emphasizing the importance of risk-informed spatial planning, vulnerability analysis, and anticipatory actions. As climate change, urbanization, and population growth increase vulnerabilities, such initiatives are essential to support resilient development and effective disaster risk management at the local level.
