The Asian and Pacific Training Centre for Information and Communication Technology for Development (APCICT/ESCAP) and the Union Civil Service Board (UCSB) of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar co-organized an ICTD capacity-building workshop on 6-10 November 2017 at the Central Institute of Civil Service (Lower Myanmar).
The workshop was part of an 8-week Executive Officials Management Course conducted annually by UCSB for the country’s senior government officials, in partnership with UNDP, World Bank, European Union, and APCICT/ESCAP. It was based on the Centre’s Academy of ICT Essentials for Government Leaders, a flagship training programme that aims to enhance awareness and skills of civil servants on leveraging ICT for sustainable development.
The workshop focused on e-Government applications and policies and regulations for promoting connectivity in Myanmar. It was attended by 32 senior officials (Deputy Director General - level) from various government ministries and agencies.
