Digital technologies are now playing a catalyzing role in the digitization of services to citizens and are being used in multiple functions across Governments. This module provides an overview of how digital technologies can be used to improve the quality of governance and, in turn, contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The module provides an overview of concepts and standards of Information Security and Privacy Protection and discusses the requirements for the establishment and implementation of policies on information security, as well as the life cycle of information security policy.
This paper highlights some of the major and effective ICT innovations and practices in dealing with COVID-19 in the following sectors: Healthcare, Communication with Communities, Education, Business, and Infrastructure. COVID-19 related ICT-centered interventions or trends are categorized using a newly introduced multi-dimensional evaluation framework, the 4 A-I model, which focuses on the awareness, availability, accessibility and affordability of digital technologies.
